The Announcement

Well, we found out in early February that we are expecting baby number three! It came as quite a surprise to us, as we had tried for more than a year to get pregnant without success. Sometime last fall it occurred to both of us that maybe we were just going to remain a family of four. I especially felt a specific call of God to seek peace and satisfaction in our current status as a family. Then a few short months later... SURPRISE!! It was the most shocked I have ever been by that little plus sign!

Anyway, we kept the news under wraps as long as we could. It wasn't easy, since I started showing so quickly. Even Ally noticed my baby bump when I was just under 7 weeks and asked if I had a baby in my tummy! I managed to distract her, but knew we would have to tell them soon. On March 2nd, Ray and I went together to my first prenatal appointment and got to see the little one via sonogram. So tiny, but a strong little heartbeat! We both teared up. There is just something about this miracle that gets us every time!

So we decided to tell the girls that night. Here is how it all went down...



Then we sent this video to our parents and siblings to announce the news to them! It was so much fun!!
